Your funeral director will be able to assist you in identifying burial marker and headstone providers, flower providers, and casket options. Here are several additional resources (I receive no benefit, financial or otherwise, from listing these resources). I have included two lists of Vermont funeral directors in event you need a place to start.
Caring.com – offers a listing of Vermont funeral homes arranged by county, city or zip code. (If you need a funeral home in another state, click here for their state-by-state database.) The site also offers a ton of really good information on senior care, end-of-life issues, dealing with death, helping loved ones and children deal with death, and much, much more. It’s one of my favorite sites
Florists – this site lists every town in Vermont. If you click on a town with florists, those local businesses will show up in a chart toward the end of the page; if the town has no florist, you will be given an opportunity to purchase through a national service that works through nearby local florists
Funeral Homes Directory – state-wide listing by Town
The Grief Blog – Extensive set of resources for non-traditional funerals and life-end celebrations
Journey of Hearts: An Online Healing Place for Anyone Grieving a Loss
Vermont Coffins – handcrafted native pine and hardwood caskets and urns from a cooperatively-operated Vermont business
Vermont Granite Works – offers a variety of beautiful markers and memorials made from native Vermont granite
