Service Territory
I help facilitate life-stage celebrations in the southern and central Vermont counties of Bennington, Windham, Rutland, Windsor, Addison and Orange.
Fees & Services
My fee is $325, payable $150 at the time of our contract with one another, and the balance not later than the beginning of the event. The first payment allows me to secure the day of your celebration just for you. Since I do not book anything else on the day of your event, your advance payment closes off that day for anyone else, and therefore is non-refundable.
My fee includes the following services:
- up to 3 hours of telephone, email, or in-person consultation to help you design a celebration that honors the person, milestone or season of your focus in spiritual symbols and group activities that express your heart;
- coordinating as needed with any party planner, photographer, performer, or other professionals (included in the 3 hours);
- conducting the spiritual portion of the event.
General Information
My fee does not include overall responsibility for the celebration; my responsibility is for the spiritual element and the time of spiritual focus during the event. I can work with you, your designate, or your party planner to seamlessly integrate spiritual and symbolic elements throughout the celebration.
However, my real goal is that you have a memorable event that anchors this special moment in your heart and in the hearts of your guests. I will do whatever I can to help make that happen – so, if you have a need or idea you think I could help with, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
Normally 3 hours is sufficient time to help design your event and coordinate with others. I don’t “watch the clock,” but at a certain point we have to either complete our preparations or I need to charge for my additional time since it takes away from my other commitments. If I think we are approaching that eventuality, I will give you advance notice. My charge for extra time is $50/hr, prorated (forward or backward) to the nearest half hour.
Included in my set fee is an allotment for up to 120 miles of travel related to preparing and facilitating your event. Usually that’s enough to meet with you, coordinate with other professionals, and attend the event. However, if we approach that boundary early, I will let you know. If I travel in excess of 120 miles total, I will need to charge 50 cents/mile for the excess.
When the location of your event has been determined and communicated to me, and we are approaching the day of the event, I will present you with a statement of fees, including any anticipated mileage charge. Final payment is due by the start of the event.
